What Happens in the Execution Phase?
Imagine you're at a beach and want to build a massive sandcastle with your friends.
You've already drawn a picture of how the castle should look in the planning phase. You've got friends, buckets, and maybe even decorations like seashells and flags. Now it's time for the fun part - actually building the sandcastle! Project managers call this the 'execution phase' in project management.
In the execution phase, you start putting sand into your bucket, patting it down, and flipping it over to make the walls and towers of your castle. Your friends and siblings help you out, each doing a different task. One might gather sand, a second one might build walls, and another might add those cool decorations.
You're also making sure everything's going smoothly. If the tide comes in and knocks down one of your walls, you have to fix it. Or if a tower isn't standing up straight, you have to work on that too. You're not just building but also solving problems as they come up.
So, the execution phase in project management is just like building the sandcastle. It's when you're actually doing the work and making the thing you planned. And just like when building a sandcastle, it's essential to solve any problems that might pop up along the way.
