A decision flowchart is a type of flowchart that includes decision points - places where a choice must be made that will change the path of the process. It's handy when a process involves complex decision-making or when a process can have multiple possible outcomes.

In a decision flowchart, decision points are usually represented by diamond-shaped boxes. The question to be decided is written inside the diamond, and two (or sometimes more) arrows come out of the diamond, each representing a possible answer to the decision question.

For example, let's say you're deciding what to wear in the morning. You might have a diamond in your flowchart that says, "Is it raining?" If the answer is yes, one arrow might lead to a box that says, "Wear a raincoat." If the answer is no, another arrow might lead to a box that says, "Wear a sweater."

Decision flowcharts can help people understand and analyze a process, make better decisions by clearly laying out the options and outcomes, and help ensure that the process is followed correctly every time. They can be beneficial in many fields, from business and engineering to healthcare and education.
