A flow chart is a diagram that shows a process or a workflow. It's like a map of different steps, where you start at one point, and then you follow the lines (which are like paths) to other boxes (which are like stops along the way), and each box is a step in the process.

To give you a simple example, imagine you're making a sandwich. A flow chart for this might start with a box labeled "Gather Ingredients", then you'd draw a line from that box to another box labeled "Put Bread on Plate", then a line from there to "Add Fillings", and so on, until you get to the last step which could be "Eat the Sandwich".

The point of a flow chart is to clearly show how a process works, step by step. In business, we use flow charts to understand and improve how we do things, like making a product or delivering a service.
