Imagine you and your friends are playing a cool game, like building a super-tall Lego tower or creating an exciting race track. Everyone has a job to do, right? One friend might be finding the Lego pieces, another might be building the tower, and someone else might be making sure the tower doesn't fall over.

A RACI chart is like a list that tells everyone what their job is in a project, like our Lego tower. It's a way to ensure everyone knows what they should do. "RACI" stands for Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, and Informed.

Here's what each of those means:

  • Responsible: This person is actually doing the work. Like, the friend who is building the Lego tower.
  • Accountable: This person makes sure the work gets done and done right. Imagine you're in charge of the Lego tower project. You're the one who decides when the tower is finished and if it's good enough.
  • Consulted: This is a person whose ideas are asked before deciding. If you're unsure where to put the next Lego piece, you might ask this friend what they think.
  • Informed: This person needs to know what's happening, but they don't actually do the work or make decisions. You might tell this friend when the tower is finished, so they can come to see it.

A RACI chart is a fancy way of ensuring everyone knows their job when working on a project. It's like having a plan for building the coolest Lego tower ever!
