What is the Pareto Principle?
Imagine you have a box full of 100 toys. According to the Pareto Principle, or the 80/20 rule, about 20 toys (20%) in that box are your absolute favorites, the ones you play with the most. Those 20 toys give you 80% of your fun and happiness when playing.
Meanwhile, the other 80 toys (80%) are just okay - you might play with them sometimes, but they only give you about 20% of your fun and happiness.
That's what the Pareto Principle is all about. It says that in many situations, a small amount (like 20%) of something can be responsible for a large part (like 80%) of the results. This doesn't just apply to toys but to lots of things in life!
Of course, the numbers aren't always exactly 80 and 20 - it's just a way to think about how things are often not evenly distributed.
